Objectives of the Brain and Behaviour Institute:
To implement and advance the non-invasive and drug free safe programme of Neuro-Developmental Treatment in order to optimise motor and cognitive skills generally, to advance and maximise human achievement and to minimise difficulties in the following areas:
- Specific Learning Difficulties: dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and underachievement.
Behavioural Problems: attention deficit disorder (ADD), anxiety, and immature behaviour.
Co-ordination Difficulties: poor balance, clumsiness, fine and gross motor problems and perceptual difficulties.
Secondary Objectives are:
- To promote and provide education and training for Neuro-Developmental
Treatment Specialists working in either professional or voluntary settings
for organisations or independent self-employed practitioners, whether full
or part time.
- To establish, maintain and raise standards in the practice of Neuro-Developmental Treatment primarily for the benefit of parents and children.
- To provide a Professional Structure or Model for the development and operation of the profession.
